Reg Anderson Baby Kenworth

This is something for the truckie in all of us. Reg Anderson has spent the last 26 years of his life creating this absolute gem. ARC has been involved for the last 10 or so years with sheet folding, TIG welding and other various tit-bits to help Reg realise his dream. The truck was finally registered in Febuary 2006.
The Full size Kenworth W series cab sits on a 1961 F350 Ford chassis with an International truck front beam axle, Mitsubishi Canter power steering, Dana 70 rear (3.70 ratio) with Isuzu air over hydraulic brakes. The engine is Detroit T453 4 cylinder diesel displacing 3.5 litres. It is turbocharged and supercharged and is mated to a RT0 610 10 speed roadranger gearbox. The nose cone is a heavily modified S2 series unit. The truck is finished off with Alcoa wheels and a hardwood rear tray. The body features hand painted pin striping - a rarity in these days of vinyl signwriting.
The engine has so much torque that 4th gear is used to take off around town. The combination is very efficient, returning 20 mpg (14 litres per 100km's). This is to be further improved with a ratio change in the near future.
I hope you enjoy the photos of this unique vehicle.
