Willies Torino neary ready to return.

Apr 27

Stephen Willies beautiful Torino is almost ready to re-enter competition after its heavy impact with the concrete wall 12 months ago. The car left the ARC workshop late last week after extensive repairs to the front end body work.
One of the major holdups in repairing the car, was the sourcing of a new grille. They are an extremely rare piece and it took Stephen 8 months to secure a satisfactory replacement for the one destroyed in the crash.
Rob Napier has finished performing the fibreglass repairs, and the new engine (to replace the one that failed, causing the accident) is almost complete at the Trick & Manswetto shop.
Final engine dynoing and a visit to the paint shop for the repaired bodywork should see the car re-appear soon. The upgraded engine should be good for another 100 odd horsepower, that should propel the yellow beauty into the 8's.
