Trinder Boys debut SC/S Torana

May 03

John and Mick Trinder finally debuted their blown big block Chev powered LC Torana last Sunday. The car has been a long time coming, having been drawn for the boys by ARC in 2000. ARC supplied the drawings, bent all the tube, manufactured the struts, and helped with all the little bits and pieces required to build a race car. The first launch overpowered the door latch spring mechanisms, and both doors flew open. Adjustments to the rear suspension (and overcoming the door opening isuue) resulted in an on/off pass in the low nines. Slick looking car will be a welcome addition in supercharged outlaws in Sydney.
