Fred Nicastri F/Gas Nissan Gazelle

1997: Freds' car started life intended for G/Gas. The chassis was built to the current SFI spec. and weighed 98kg bare. Since that time, Fred has purchased a small cube engine from Les Heintz for F/Gas duties. The car is now considerably heavier, but still features ARC moly SFI chassis, ARC moly struts, ARC rearend housing and ARC fourlink. Car also features 'Strange' double adjustable coilovers and 'Mark Williams' 40 spline rifle drilled axles.
June 2010: After nearly the longest build in ARC history, Fred finally debuted the Gazelle at the June bracket meet. The car was licensed successfully, and with Joe Gauci from Pro Fab in Wollongong driving (clutch man for Lee Bektash Pro Stock)later in the day, the little (read heavy) car went 9.06 @ 149.00 mph in E/Gas trim. Fred should be extremely proud of this achievement as it was only the cars' 3rd pass, and it is already under the index with a very lazy 1.3 60 ft time. Once the clutch is dialled in, this car looks like being a super Stock killer.
